Ingredients
4 NZ avocados, halved and peeled*
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated or cubed
20 slices Farmland thin sliced streaky bacon
Method
Stuff an avocado—replacing its stone with cheese, then wrap it with thinly sliced bacon. And bake & grill it to the perfect ‘bomb’ effect. Melted cheese combined with creamy avo and tasty bacon will hit your taste buds. A must try for keto dieters.
1.Preheat oven to 220°C. Line an oven tray with foil.
2.Fill 4 avocado halves with grated cheese then close the avocados back.
3.Wrap each avocado with 5 slices of bacon. Place on the oven tray and bake for 10 minutes on each side until bacon is cooked.
4.Turn the oven to grill. Grill boost on high for 5-8 minutes to crisp up the bacon even more.
5.Serve immediately.
Tip: Choose ripe but firm avocados for this dish.
